I can imagine at this age Ed would take any instance of concern from Roy pretty badly. Especially if it involved any suggestion that twelve year old Ed can't totally kick the shit out of any adult around, including him. XD And I know the culprit is supposed to be drugging food (would there be any better way to knock out Ed?) - twelve year old Ed isn't exactly known for listening to reason.
