Dudes! If you read my fic, and most of you do, you probably like some or all of these things: epic UST, plotty plot, intrigue, and Ling Yao. My bud enemytosleep just posted her completed (don't you just love a completed chapter fic?) Big Bang entry, No Sound of Water. It's about Ling and Ran Fan's journey through the desert to Amestris, and skullduggery at the Yao clan court. It features:

- flashbacks to Ling and Ran Fan's childhood (shocking news: Ling was a cheeky little shit)

- badass violenty martial arts fight scenes

What else do you need to amuse yourself on a Saturday afternoon? I should confess a vested interest here: I betaed this fic and was super-excited to watch it come together over the last few months. Hoorah!

also, I'm totally drifting between projects today. I've done a little bit of drafting for sequel fic, done a lot of nerding on Chinese prostitution during the various dynasties, have opened and started at bakeoff drabbles, and drew sex face Allen on the back of one of the documents I need to bring to the accountant for my taxes this week.

That's quite all right. Today apart from hanging out with Dr H, I've been shading my piece for nyagosstar (detailed background plus dramatic lighting=complicated) and thinking about getting on with some writing.

We're having a mad rain storm here. Winds are howling and there's been some hail and I'm waiting for the power to go out. Yay. :D

Yay also for shading more illos! You keep getting closer and closer to the end of your fandom commitment list of doom. I would really love to get one or the other completed today so that I can check one off the list (instead of just idly fiddling with everything all at once).

My accountant already knows I'm a big weirdo I think. Not sure if I need to confirm it by doodling sex faces on my interest forms though.

Helen and I just got back from a late showing of Alice in Wonderland. 3-D - it's the future, man. I've got nearly all the shading done on my illo for nyagosstar. I've done the light and shadow in a separate layer, which is what I did with Oktoberfest - it needs tweaking and refining, but I'm happy with the basic technique now and it didn't take that long. Yay!

Maybe you could say Allen just hit his head on something? Or sat on a pin. Depending on the expression. XD

Power flickered a bunch of times and we are on coastal flooding alert. rain and wind are still crazy mad. I'm going to bed in a minute so I'm less worried about the power now.

Woohoo! And another one bites the dust. I drew some more for threesome pic. Will try and get the lineart for that (naked bums and all) complete tomorrow if I can. Or at least get sketches of naked bums completed and emailed so I can whine about how I can't get it to look right.

It kind of looks like Allen's either coming really hard or taking it really hard. Or stabbed? I could maybe say he's been gutted.
