Rating: PG-13 for a Briggs drinking contest and a little light asskicking
Characters/Pairings: Olivia Armstrong, cameos from a few Briggs bears
Summary: Drawn for cornerofmadness for this year's fma_ladyfest, from the prompt, Olivier, I'd like to see a day in Briggs, doing whatever the author would like, warding off a Drachman attack, snowshoeing for a fun break from duty, whatever works for you.

The sparkles, omg. This may be my favourite of all your pieces I've seen. It's such a good character study. Randomly, the texture of your snow is really wonderful and evocative.

Hahaha, so many sparkles, I know. Thanks! It was fun to capture Olivia in all her moods. The snow was super fun to experiment with, although I can only take part of the credit for it. I downloaded a cool pack of snow brushes from Deviantart and spent a few minutes working out to use different sizes and shapes and textures to give the effect of depth to the snowstorm.

To continue the trend of me falling all over myself worshiping you, I think the thing I love the most about your art style is that the resemblances are PERFECT, but it's still yours, rather than looking like a copy of either Arakawa or the Bones artists. :3 *flails everywhere*

Finding my feet with character likenesses took a while and some experimentation. I hew to Arakawa's style far more closely in the faces than elsewhere. Although that said I sometimes use reference for stuff like the interior of Armstrong Manor, which I wanted to be vaguely recognisable, at least to someone who'd read the manga too often. >_>
